Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today announced to start ashram hostels in the district on the request of Saraswati, a Baiga tribal schoolgirl, during his Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi stay. Saraswati's village is about 20 km from her hostel. During the inspection of Government Pre-Secondary School of village Tavadbra, Baiga tribal schoolgirl Saraswati Baiga told Chief Minister Mr. Baghel that schools have opened, but due to non-opening of ashram-hostel, she is not able to go to her school.
Saraswati urged the Chief Minister to start the hostel at Jyotipur in Gaurela. Saraswati told that she is a student of class 9th in Tikarkala School. The distance of Jyotipur hostel from his village is 20 kms. Because of this she is not able to go to her school even after starting school. Realizing the problem of Saraswati with full sensitivity, the Chief Minister announced to start an ashram-hostel in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district. With this announcement of the Chief Minister, the students of villages in remote areas will get an opportunity to study in their schools. Students from villages in remote areas, about 20 to 25 kilometers away, stay in their nearest ashram-hostel and study in schools. With the announcement of the Chief Minister, it will be possible to solve this problem of children. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today reached the house of Panch Shri Ramesh Baiga of Rajmergarh Para in Tawadbra village of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat and had refreshments with him. He talked to the villagers there and he gave 2000 rupees to Lakshmi as the omen of the house. The Chief Minister discussed the living conditions there and assured Saraswati that her hostel would start soon. The Chief Minister also took a selfie with him in his mobile. On this occasion, the Chief Minister presented Rs 1000 to Band Baja Dal of the village and Rs 1000 to Roka-Chheka Dal as a reward.
